The Song Journeys channel was created to eliminate any stigmas and inspire people to make the music they love. To show people that their aspirations are reachable. To give them a REAL look at a real person’s process. And that real All Phase Artists don’t live in expensive studios – and don’t need to to create amazing music. They just need to take that first step.

The perceived barriers and stigmas are many. We are so often told we’re too old or too young. That our genre doesn’t “fit” us anymore, or never will. That we need expensive gear to succeed. That people won’t like what you’ve created. None of which are true, or matter.

Music is NO different than any other passion or hobby that people love. It is no different than gardening, than painting, than golfing, than cooking or crocheting. It is creating and doing something you love – for yourself, or with others, or to share with others.

Music is the energy that lifts so many people up when they’re down, that has set the stage for so many moments in their lives, that brings so much joy – and NOTHING compares to giving life to your own stories, feelings and emotions. So break on through and take that first step!

Dane Watts is the moniker given to their music. With beginnings stemming back to their friendship in the late 1990’s, they each have a deep love for music. Dre is a composer and guitarist who brings the soul and vibe to their music. He loves all genre’s of music and finds inspiration from artists like Jimi Hendrix, Prince and Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Dane is the producer, writer and vocalist whose love of music was rooted by Pink Floyd, classic rock and 90’s hip hop. An unlikely and unique combination for a unique producer who finally decided to “stop giving a single f***,” let go of all of his own self-made barriers and stigmas and to do the thing he loves.

After a 15 year hiatus into real life (families, kids and jobs) an unfortunate and formative life event led their paths to cross again. Their music is real, raw and simply represents who they are. Imperfect, non-conforming and different, the entire point of Dane Watts is the love of music, the creative process and doing the thing they love.
